My last pick for Copa América, it has not gone well for me but let's hope this final one will be green. Argentina vs. Chile so last year's final will be repeated. This time the stadium will be neutral so Argentina will be considered a clear favourite which is right.
Chile went through last night beating Colombia 2-0. The half time break was extended to nearly two hours due to a big thunderstorm in Chicago. In the second half the pitch was very wet so that could bring some extra fatigue for the Chileans. La Roja started the tournament in a sloppy way losing 2-1 to Argentina and then taking two hard fought wins against Bolivia and Panama. Tactically super bad Mexico was then trashed in the quarter finals and last night Chile's fast start won them the match. After the two goals they didn't play too well and it would perhaps been fair to see Colombia on the scoreboard, too. Colombia played the last half an hour with 10 men but could still create chances.
Arturo Vidal returns from suspension for the final. Eugenio Mena injured. Marcelo Díaz returns from injury and Pablo Hernández probably won't feature due to getting injured last night.
Argentina had an easy job against the US. Messi and Higuaín were on lethal form and the US really didn't stand any chance. The gap in quality was very visible. Bad news for Argentina is Ezequiel Lavezzi's injury. Di María could return and even start the match. Argentina will be able to rest one more day than Chile and taking into account that they deservedly won 2-1 in the opening match even without Messi I think this is a good opportunity to invest on Argentina. Let's hope they get their revenge!
